Department of Physics
Head : Namdar, A., Asst. Prof.
The Department :
The
Department has a wide educational and
research activity in both pure and
applied physics.

Undergraduate Programs :
All
students at B.Sc. degree are required
to take and complete 135 credit units
offered by the Department in
theoretical and experimental fields.

Graduate Programs
:
The
Department also offers graduate
programs at M. Sc. level in molecular
and atomic physics, high energy
physics, general relativity and
cosmology; the average duration of the
program is 24 months, according to
regulations. Students should pass
coursework on advanced quantum
mechanics, classical electrodynamics,
statistical mechanics, advanced
classical mechanics, computational
physics and three courses on research
fields and a major research project
(thesis).
