The Department : Proposed by the Socio-Cultural Higher Council of Women, a branch of Cultural Revolution Council, and approved by Higher Planning Council of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Department of Family Studies was founded in AUTE in 1996.

Undergraduate Programs : The department develops a trend of scientific studies based on social, psychological and legal views . The students do research on different dimensions of issues and problems relating to families. The aim is to train experts and supervisors to respond to the needs of organizations and institutes dealing with family and social relations.

At present, about 130 students study in this department at B.A. level.
